Meet Javier

Javier, co-founder of RJ Interiors, brings a visionary approach to interior renovation. Back in his home country of Chile, he explored interests in both graphic design and architecture, but in 2000, he chose a different path. He emigrated to the U.S. to turn his creative vision into reality.

Once here, he discovered that he preferred working with his hands rather than a pencil. Javier channeled his passion into the craft of construction. His ability to blend functionality with aesthetics ensures that every renovation project not only meets but exceeds client expectations. With a sharp eye for detail, he makes sure each element and phase of construction is carried out to the highest standards, resulting in spaces you’ll love for years to come.

Before teaming up with Roberta to launch RJ Interiors, Javier worked as a subcontractor for many of New York City’s top interior renovation firms.

After collaborating on several projects, he and Roberta realized they shared a vision for a better approach to renovations. They decided to combine their skills and experience, and together they established RJ Interiors—a firm that brings a fresh perspective to New York’s design-build industry.

Meet Roberta

Roberta, co-founder of RJ Interiors, focuses her efforts on working closely with clients to craft the perfect living environment. She brings a mix of creativity, innovative design, and a cutting-edge understanding of materials, transforming any space into something exceptional.

Before founding RJ Interiors, Roberta was the lead designer for a New York-based renovation company. Earlier in her career, she served as a project designer and construction coordinator for one of the nation’s top residential developers.

Roberta began her professional journey in account management at major advertising agencies, but later made a bold career shift into design. She got her start at a prestigious furniture and cabinetry maker that catered to elite interior designers serving clients in Boston and New York.
